Gas Boiler Servicing
There are many different reasons why its important to have your gas boiler service carried out annually but the most important reason for us is Safety.
If a boiler is left too long without being regularly checked and serviced there is potential for the boiler to fail, start working unsafely and then cause harm to life. For this reason we strongly advise to have one of the gas safe engineers from Henri-Taylor Heating come along and ensure this doesn’t happen!

Some other key reasons on why you should have
an annual boiler service
- We will ensure the boiler is working as efficiantly as possible to keep your energy bills low
- We can detect early signs of wear and tear and potentially fix a small problem before it becomes a big one
- It’s a requirement of all major boiler manufactures that the boiler is serviced annually to keep up any warranties you have with the boiler from installation
- It could be part of your lease hold agreement if you live in a flat or apartment complex
- We will check and clean your magnetic system filter if you have one
- We will bleed any radiators you have concerns about and repressurise the system if required
- Make sure your system controls are working correctly ie, timers and thermostats.

Since the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020 a lot more people are now working from home 1-2 days a week and in turn are using their hot water more. This has naturally put slightly more strain on a home’s hot water system so due to this we think servicing your Unvented Hot Water Cylinder is now more important than ever!
At Henri-Taylor Heating our G3 qualified engineers can carry this out for you with minimal fuss and could also do it alongside servicing your gas appliances for added convenience and a slightly reduced rate.

We can work on all types of cylinders including direct, indirect and thermal store.
The benefits to this are most importantly checking the cylinders safety valves, usually on an Unvented cylinder there are 2 main types of safety devices and we check them both for correct operation and that they hadn’t failed recently.
We also check the expansion vessel attached to the hot water cylinder to ensure it has the correct air pressure inside it. Or if you don’t have an expansion vessel as you may have a Megaflo style unvented hot water cylinder we can recharge the expansion bubble if required.
